The hardest part about making homemade marinara is purely the time that it takes to make. I made this with Tomatoes from my in-law's garden. Start off by grilling the tomatoes. Once they've cooled, peel off the skins. Add into a
large pot with basil, oregano, parsley, cumin. In a separate pan, saute garlic and onion then combine. Cook down until some of the natural juices have evaporated and concentrated the flavors. Put in a food processor and run until it is the consistency of choice. I like to have a bit of chunk. Put over noodle of choice. Add Parmesan cheese. There is a distinct taste to a marinara that is homemade that can't be faked by pre-made sauce.
